Edwardian Townhouse, Reigate
The whole north-facing garden sloped away and was a building site due to drastic renovations to the whole of the Edwardian town house. We implemented a porcelain terrace leading from the kitchen, which was positioned at an upper level to take in the stunning views of north downs beyond. We designed and commissioned a steel staircase to access the garden and lower terrace from above, and a sunken terrace was created leading from the basement bedroom below. I created two levels from the rest of the sloping garden to form a lawn and a lower more relaxed seating area at the sunnier end of the garden surrounded by curvaceous border to one side and a stepping-stone path amongst the surrounding planting in addition.
